Why OpenBack Lobbies Have Shareable URLs
Why every OpenBack private lobby uses a game-specific URL and still supports joining by ID.
The link is the invitation
A complete lobby link loads OpenBack and identifies the matching game. Friends can move from a message to the lobby without first learning which menu contains the manual join field.
Manual IDs remain valuable
Chat applications can truncate links. Join Multiplayer provides a second route: paste the game ID and reach the same active lobby without relying on the original URL formatting.
One service hosts many games
The public website is shared while each active game has its own identifier. Players do not need to deploy a separate website or server for every friends-only match.
