OpenBack Accounts, Profiles, Login, and Security

Understand sign-up, returning login, saved progress, public profile fields, logout, and permanent account deletion in OpenBack.

Sign up once, then log in when returning

Sign Up creates a new saved account after email-code verification. Log In is only for an email that already has an OpenBack account. OpenBack prevents an existing email from creating a duplicate and prevents an unknown or deleted email from using the returning login path.

Your in-game name is one identity

The in-game name in your profile is the same name used on the main menu, in lobbies, matches, rankings, clans, and your public player card. It is not a second username. Saving it updates the shared account identity.

What other players can see

Your public description and banner color appear on the player card opened from ranked rankings. Your selected flag, selected map cosmetic, clan tag, public player ID, and OB can appear there too. Your email and session information remain private and are never part of that public card.

Log out or delete

Log Out removes the session from the current browser but preserves the account, profile, OB, clan identity, currency, and saved cosmetics for the next login. Delete My Account uses two explicit confirmations and permanently removes the saved account data; logging in cannot restore a deleted account.

  • Use Log Out when changing devices or temporarily leaving the account.
  • Use Delete My Account only when the saved identity should be removed permanently.
  • Verification codes expire and accept only a limited number of attempts.
  • Never share an email verification code with another player.
