How to Play OpenBack Multiplayer with Friends

Create a private OpenBack lobby, share its game URL or ID, and help friends join the same multiplayer match.

Host a private lobby

Choose Host Multiplayer, configure the match, and create the lobby. Keep it open while friends join. The host controls the settings and starts when everyone is ready.

Share the complete lobby URL

Copy the full game link and send it to your friends. The game-specific part at the end tells OpenBack which lobby to connect to. A homepage-only link cannot identify the private game.

Join with the game ID

Players can also choose Join Multiplayer and paste the lobby ID. If joining fails, confirm that the lobby is still active, copy the ID without missing characters, and ensure the browser is not blocking WebSocket connections.
